Why Track & Field Programs and Meet Directors Trust Us

Track and field meets are among the most medal-intensive events in scholastic sports. A single invitational with 15 running events, 5 field events, and relays can need 100+ medals to cover three placements per event. Cross country programs add another layer with team and individual awards across varsity, JV, and open divisions. We produce die-struck zinc medals with winged-shoe details, stopwatch imagery, and custom event logos. Most meet directors order 100-300 pieces per event, and our 50-piece minimum covers even small dual meets.

Pro Tip: For meets with 15+ events, order one die design and use reverse engraving for the specific event name and placement. This saves significantly versus separate dies per event.

Custom Track & Field Medals from Junior Meets to State Championships

A 20-event invitational awarding three placements per event needs 60+ medals. Here's how our most popular options break down by meet level.

Youth & Junior Programs

Youth track clubs and elementary field days typically order 2" die-struck medals in lots of 75-150. Running-shoe and torch imagery reproduces clearly at this size. Standard 7/8" grosgrain ribbons in school or meet colors keep per-piece cost low for large participation events.

Invitationals & Dual Meets

High school invitationals ordering for 15-20 events per gender need 200-400 medals. Our 3" medals accommodate detailed meet logos and event-specific text. One die design with reverse engraving for each event name is the most cost-effective approach.

Conference & State Championships

Championship meets use 3.5" dual-plated medals to mark the achievement level. Antique finishes distinguish event winners from team award recipients. These are built for trophy-case display and post-race photos at the finish line.

MVP & Individual Event Awards

Custom-shaped medals for Outstanding Athlete, field event awards, and relay teams. Reverse engraving handles event name, time/distance, and athlete name. One order can include different engraving per piece at no extra charge.

Most meet directors order one die design with the meet logo, then use reverse-side engraving to specify the event name (100m, Shot Put, 4x400 Relay, etc.) and placement. This is far more cost-effective than creating separate dies for each event and allows one bulk order.

Youth meets and dual meets usually choose 2" for participation and event awards. Invitationals and conference meets prefer 2.5"-3" for top-three placements. State championship events often use 3"-3.5" for maximum visual impact.

Yes. We can incorporate event-specific elements into the medal design -- hurdles, javelin, high jump bars, discus, and running silhouettes all reproduce well in die-struck and spin-cast production. Many meets use a general track logo on the front and event-specific engraving on the reverse.

Yes. Cross country medals are one of our most popular track-adjacent categories. Course terrain imagery, tree silhouettes, and runner outlines are common design elements. Most XC programs order medals for varsity, JV, and open divisions.

Standard production is 14-17 business days after proof approval. Rush options are available. For spring track season, we recommend starting design in January to allow time for revisions before the first meet.
