About the 427th Movement Control Team
The 427th is an Army Reserve unit based in Pennsylvania. Members have been called to active duty in Iraq, Kuwait and other areas of the Middle East. In 2021 and 2022, they served in Kuwait as part of Operation Spartan Shield.
The role of a Movement Control Team is to plan, coordinate, and supervise the movement of troops, equipment, and supplies by air, sea, rail, or road, ensuring everything gets to the right place efficiently, providing "in-transit visibility," and managing logistics in complex areas, Duties include everything from documenting cargo and clearing customs with allies to inspecting vehicles and tracking convoys,
